"Going Green at the Beach" a huge success with the public!

More than 1,150 people toured the home during the three-week public tour period that ended November 11! The owners are also willing to open the house for future events and tours - after they get a chance to celebrate the holidays!
Atlas Disappearing Screen Doors and our sister business Atlas Designer Mouldings are proud sponsors of this first Built Green project in Snohomish county. Atlas donated the retractable screens, awning, and plaster crown moldings for this whimsical rebuild of a 100 year old beach-front home, show casing 'green' building materials and concepts. It is also the first known Built Green project initiated and managed by homeowners rather than by a builder.
The process of submitting the project for national awards has now begun. The project goal is to be certified by all major residential green building programs: Built Green of King and Snohomish County, Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes, the American Lung Association's Health House program, Environments for Living, and LEED's pilot program for homes, LEED-H.

2007 Wizard Conference
San Diego was the location for Wizard's 2007 West Coast Dealer Conference. Despite the sad occurrences of nearby forest fires, we had our most successful conference yet. Innovative ideas were presented for product development, marketing, and business strategy. We came away excited to implement these ideas and looking forward to the 2008 season. The 2008 Wizard Conference will be held in Portland, OR. If you are interested in joining our dealer team, contact Lesley Chapman at lesley@disappearingscreendoors.com or 425-450-0116. _______________________________________________________________

"Team Wizard" 2006 Conference in Seattle
Atlas hosted the 2006 Wizard West Coast Dealers conference on November 17 and 18. We welcomed new dealers, celebrated successes over the past year, shared our best and brightest ideas, and brainstormed ways to make Wizard the absolute best retractable screen company. Many of these ideas have been implemented in 2007. We had a really good time and the weather cooperated with two un-Seattle-like warm and sunny days! The 2007 Wizard Conference will be held in San Diego. If you are interested in joining our dealer team, contact Wizard Industries at http://www.wizardindustries.com/Rick and Stuart Ilott from Wizard Industries. _______________________________________________________________

A New Product from our parent company - Beautiful Architectural Plaster Mouldings!
We are very excited that our parent company will be introducing Architectural Plaster Mouldings in mid-September.
TURNING THE ORDINARY INTO EXTRAORDINARY
THE SAME ROOM - BEFORE, AND AFTER
The craft of architectural plaster mouldings goes back thousands of years. Across North America homeowners, designers, and architects are discovering the art of creating truly stunning and distinctive rooms with decorative plaster mouldings.
Modern technology and advances in plasters and mould-making have brought these classic architectural design and decorating elements within the reach of just about anyone who wants beauty and elegance in their surroundings.
Advantages of plaster mouldings:
Costs about 1/2 the price of comparable wood mouldings (about $12 per linear foot installed). Much larger choice of profiles than available with wood, MDF, or styrofoam mouldings - anything from crisp, modern lines to intricate patterns. Environmentally friendly - none of the toxic fumes of MDF or styrofoam mouldings. Ideal in bathrooms and kitchens - doesn't rot over time like MDF and styrofoam mouldings do. Paintable, including faux finishes. Doesn't expand and contract with changes in humidity. You always have a seamless look. Quicker installation than traditional mouldings, to complete your project that much sooner!
You can register for a 20% discount by emailing us about your project before Sept 30, 2006. View some of the beautiful ways plaster mouldings can transform your home, at Atlas Designer Mouldings___________________________________________________________________
